I'm also experiencing this issue. Side note--auto-populating headings and allowing linking to them would be pretty great, actually, but not at the expense of linking to other files.  

Try using auto zoom and then re-sizing the window. It will adjust the font size according to the window width. If you reset the auto zoom, I think that's the equivalent of cmd-0.
