[BIG] cursor jumps elsewhere in note after any edit (1.0.0 (40))
CompletedJust installed this new version 1.0.0 (40) on a Mojave 10.14.6 machine.
When I make any edit/change to any note the cursor then jumps right to the top OR bottom of the note.

I'm not sure Fletcher will be able to respond to this this week. I believe I had this happen early on in testing, cleared up by deleting my preferences. `defaults delete com.multimarkdown.nvUltra` in Terminal if you want to try it... note that doing so requires a reboot and, obviously, will reset all of your preferences.
Or we can wait for Fletcher to have time on his trip to pitch in. I can verify that I'm seeing no such issue, though.

I had the same problem after installing in Catalina 10.15.1. I dragged the plist file to the desktop and restarted nvUltra and the problem seems to be fixed. However, it is a pain losing the preferences.
UPDATE. I restarted nvUltra and began to rebuild my preferences. The problem has returned. When making a change in the middle of a document, the cursor jumps to the top of the page.

Thanks Brettand Philip Davis -- much obliged.
Deleting the preferences file sorted this out. And I got to see the intro screen again -- bonus ;-)

FWIW - I see the same problem as well. I'm gonna head back to NV Alt for the meanwhile, and see if someone can come up with a fix that doesn't require messing with preferences.

I have a "similar" issue where the cursor behaves badly when typing accented characters (I write in french on a UK keyboard).
So the combo option-` a should type the character à ... which it does, but the caret moves back BEFORE the letter.Which means e.g. the work Référence ends up being typed Rfrenceéé
Obviously the issues is localized to nvUltra (40). It didn't happen before, and doesnt happen anywhere else.
PS: defaults delete ... doesn't solve that particular bug ...
PPS: just confirmed ... reinstalling release 39 solves the bug
