Try quitting the app, use the defaults command, and relaunch. You can also do a `defaults read com.multimarkdown.nvultra NVTableFontName` to see what the app thinks the default should be.

Following logging out and back in I'm able to relaunch nvU.

Nevermind, helps if I read the instructions correctly. Got it changed thanks to this and now I can open .tasks files in nvU.
