Cant type in new file with search
CompletedIf you create a new file and press Command + F to find, it prevents the cursor from moving back to the file, until you press Done on the search.
If you type a word, then it works, but otherwise you're prevented from making changes to the blank file.
I should be able to move my cursors to the empty content area to write if I've accidentally (muscle memory) typed Command + F.

Paul,
I'm not sure I'm following you on this one. Can you describe the exact steps you use to create the problem, and what prevents you from typing in the new document?
I'm not seeing the problem you're describing, or I'm just misunderstanding.

Is this still happening? Can you describe a bit more how I can replicate it?
Thanks!0 -
I have a similar problem without pressing cmd+F.
- cmd+L (to get to the search bar)
- I type: test .st (that is my TextExpander shortcut for a date and time stamp like 20200118223123)
- peng. There is no way to entry text into the new document without clicking.
I need to click on the documents name in the sidebar to get it activated, then into the editor window to get a cursor.
It is not TextExpander: When I just
- cmd+L
- test (without my TE shortcut)
- Backspace to get rid of the automatic file name completion stamp of the other test file, then
- the completion stamp is deleted, but
nothing happens at all, no new document, no document in the file list activated. If I type cmd+L again, nothing happens. I have to click into the search bar, then nvUltra works normal again.
Maybe it’s me and I just don’t know how to make a new file …

Ah, okay, I didn’t check this one because it was called "completed" – too much issues … Sorry.
