Persistent undo

This just happened again... nvUltra tracks selected text, so if I select a note that has a bunch of text selected and type any character that changes text, the selected text is deleted. If I switch notes, as I just did again in this case, I've lost that text permanently.

I'm looking at what it would take to implement persistent undo across notes.

The issue itself would also be resolved if the note didn't keep track of the text selection status; I often go back to a note and start typing, not realizing that a big chunk of the note was selected. I may leave things selected because I copied them or because I highlighted some portion of the text to aid in reading. (I just accidentally blew away another chunk of text).

A large number of users in the past requested that previous selections be remembered when documents are reopened.  I wasn't sure at first, but eventually agreed with them that it makes sense.

In this particular case, if you start typing without checking to see what the selected range is, how would you know if you are typing at the beginning, or the end, or the middle of the document?

We will look at adding persistent undo.  But it's also on you to look before you type.  ;)

I sometimes hit this as well, especially as I try to use screenshot images with nvultra (https://multimarkdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360036170794/comments/1500000141101). In these cases, dragging and dropping an image into the file list "breaks" undo in the current document.
