[bug] Shift Up / Shift Down keyboard shortcuts not working
CompletedI've been testing the keyboard shortcut list from the website. So far they all are working except the Shift Up and Shift Down.
Results:
- nvUltra Beta 26 (installed this morning). macOS 10.14.5, 2019 Mac Mini
I have a window showing the file list, edit window, and preview window. It is set to fill about 3/4 the screen with the menu bar showing at top (the viewing window).
CTL+CMD+ UP ARROW enlarges the viewing window to full screen, but retains the menu bar.
CTL+CMD+DOWN ARROW shrinks the viewing window back to the original size.
The same behavior exists with the Preview window closed. The same thing happens if I'm editing the file in MMDC.
FYI: I've converted your list into MMD table format and can send you a copy if desired.

That's not nvUltra. That's some other software installed on your computer. Presumably a window manager of some sort?

Hmm. I'm not using a window manager, but I'll dig around to see if something else is causing a conflict. I'll try running on a different computer with nothing loaded in the background.

Update. I just tested nvUltra on a completely clean system and the UP/DOWN shortcuts work perfectly. Now I'll just have to track down the conflict!

Try turning off any third party utilities (including anything in preference panes), and check whether you have any custom keyboard shortcuts set up in preferences that might be conflicting. Can also try creating a new user account to test there as well.

I discovered the culprit. Keyboard Maestro Engine was running in the background. Turning it off returned the shortcuts to their expected behavior. I need to see if there is a setting in Keyboard Maestro I can change to disable this, otherwise I will just live with the conflict which is very minor.

You can also use system preferences to enable your own keyboard shortcuts in nvUltra to replace the problematic ones.

In KM, you can selectively disable macro groups for certain applications. Just do it for the macro group that your ⌃⌘↑ and ⌃⌘↓ triggers are defined in, and your set.
I do this all the time to avoid conflicts.

@Paul Atlan -- Thanks, I had forgotten that option. I had already changed the keybindings in KM because I wanted to retain the functionality, but remove the conflict with nvUltra. I may go back and use the selective disable option.
