Bug Report: Jumping Across Notes While Typing (Again)
I'm having this problem again where nvU jumps across notes while I am typing in one--depositing text in the new note and requiring careful backtracking to find where I'd been before.
I commented on the prior thread on this, but that thread is marked as Completed, so figured I'd add a new thread.
I'm on:
macOS 26.5.1 (25F80)
nvUltra Version 1.0.0 (2026.06.17.13.42)
I keep my notes in a folder in iCloud

Thanks for opening a new thread.
If you could please go to the Troubleshooting preferences and ensure that both of the top two check boxes are enabled. If you remember roughly when it happens, or when it happens again, you can “Show Event Log” to open the log database. The log defaults to sorting by date so you can scroll to the relevant section.
(Unfortunately searching by date doesn't currently work because the db uses integer timestamps rather than strings, and I have not gotten around to rebuilding this. But one day!)
There may or may not be something obvious in the event log, but you can use the “Open Log Folder” to find the `nvUltra.log` file (it's just a SQLite file). You could send that to me as a ticket along with the approximate date and I can try to track down what is going wrong. (You can skim through the log file - there should not be any “meaningful” private information in it, but you can double check this.)
While you're at it, might as well use the “Export Application Defaults” as well in case there is a particular setting/group of settings that is involved.
Thank you for any additional information you can provide!!

I did not have the two troubleshooting check boxes selected, so will do that now. And, will send along the info in a ticket--thanks!
