Pointer sometimes appears as l-beam in tableView

Pointer doesn't appear as an arrow when moving the cursor from textView to tableView (but seems to work fine when moving from the toolbar to tableView).

  I've tried to work on this several times over the years without success.  

   

  When you are in the toolbar, if you hover over the search field, it then also fails to return to the arrow from the I-beam when you leave the search field and stay in the toolbar.

   

  It's possible that this is still something I am doing wrong (In nvUltra I don't change the cursor at all -- it's entirely handled by the OS), but I am increasingly stuck thinking this is a bug in macOS.

  I am not seeing the behavior that Fletcher describes with the search field. That is okay here.

  I am going to close this issue.  I realize that the bug still occurs, but I have thus far been unable to find what I am doing wrong (on the assumption that I am), and still can't help but wonder if this is a bug in macOS somewhere.

   

  Regardless, it is not worth any further time trying to track this down given that the issue is purely cosmetic.
