As you can see from these forums, development and support is still ongoing and active with nvUltra.  We have a few more issues to resolve before releasing 1.0 for sale.  But nvUltra is already in use by many.

Once nvUltra for macOS 1.0 is released, then I will turn my attention back to Composer for macOS.  Composer and nvUltra share a large amount of the core code base so a large amount of progress has already been made (I already use Composer 5 for myself and have been for a year or more).  There are still a few features that are Composer-specific that need to be developed, and then it will need beta testing by others.

As for iOS, I have been using Composer and nvUltra for iOS for the last 18 months+...  They both need additional development time for more features, and then a great deal of testing to identify edge cases.  They share the core text engine code with the macOS apps, but a great deal of the "wrapper" code is different due to the differences in the operating system.

As more information is available re: nvUltra, Brett and I will release that here.  Updates on Composer will be released by me on the Composer site, unless Brett and I decide to consolidate some of that information here.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Fletcher for the update.

I am a big fan of both you and Brett.

nvUltra is amazing and jam-packed with features that show the love and quality you have put into it.

I am eagerly looking forward to the next version of Composer. Do you have a summary of the enhancements planned for version 5?

Glad to hear that a lot of work has already gone into the iOS versions.

I am up for providing feedback with beta testing.

Wishing you both all the best in all your endeavors.

    Glen

Version 5 uses the same core engine as nvUltra, so many improvements to the editor.  5.0 will probably not contain a lot of "new features" otherwise, and is focused on fixing some of the subtle bugs that were otherwise hard to track down in the old codebase.
