Hanging indent for lists in edit window _without_ using elastic tabstops
I'm aware that I can get wrapped lines to align nicely with a hanging indent in the editor window if I enable elastic tabstops and use a TAB character instead of a space character between the list marker and the text. However, I'm a "spaces only" guy and don't like having tab characters in my text because it messes up the alignment if the file is viewed or edited and tab size isn't exactly the same as when the file was created. Elastic tabstops are even worse because a single tab stop could represent 1 space or 100 spaces depending on the context, so they never look right anywhere except within nvUltra.
I've used a variety of text editors that seem to handle list indents just fine when using only spaces. Line wrapping for space-indented lists looks quite ugly in nvUltra, especially for nested lists, so it would really be appreciated if you could implement hanging indents in the editor window without requiring the use of elastic tabstops.

+1...this is a pain point for me.

Exact same for me! Tabs work great in nvUltra but cause problems in other apps.

Fletcher Penney Any chance this can be implemented? 😅

Bumping this as I see Fletcher Penney is replying to threads. 😂
Fletcher – I write frequently with lists and this is the only item that causes me heartache when I fire up nvUltra. My notes are difficult to parse in nvU as a result, so I end up using other apps. :(

I'll look back at this again at some point in the future.
