MMDC feature: Create Table
No MD editor program I've found so far has the ability to create tables, which seems quite odd to me. I really like MMDC, and would love to see the ability to create tables by popping up a grid or something similar (a floating window, perhaps) that allows one to enter the data and then generate the markdown table automatically.
There is a utility for iOS called “Tables” which will run on a Mac as well, but it would be great to have this rolled into MMDC, especially as once the user closes the “Tables” app window, there's no way to go back and edit the table. In “Tables”, you create the table, then click a button which puts the markdown on the clipboard, and then you paste it into your md document. If you need to make a change, hopefully you left “Tables” open so you can make the change, and then click the button again and paste to replace in your md document.
If MMDC had built-in table creation, clicking in the table (or selecting the whole table, if necessary) would allow you to edit the table directly in the table editor, and then hit Done to return to your document with the changes appearing.
Thank you for considering this feature request.
