Request: Reduce Minimum Height for File List in Vertical Layout

I have been able to use the advanced features to reduce the font size and height for the file list, in order to more closely mimic my preferred nvAlt layout.(https://nvultra.com/help/advanced-features)
However, my workflow is heavily based around search and I only need to see the top 2-3 results of the search in the file list. I cannot shrink the list of items in the file list below what is seen in my screenshot. If I shrink further, the file list disappears completely. So, it seems there is a minimum height before total collapse of the file list, and it's way too tall for me.
1. I'd like there to be a small minimum height for the file list when in vertical mode, as I only want to see 2-3 items there, with a small font size.
(other items)
2. You'll see that in nvAlt, there is a more compact vertical use of space under the title bar. The search bar in nvUltra is clearly lower than in nvAlt. It looks like there is unnecessary padding between the title bar and search bar in nvUltra, can the search bar be moved up?
3. Add pref to hide all the buttons to the left of the search bar, I only want to see the search bar.
4. I found existing requests for these: in the file list I like to see initial text in each file, and the date modified. So consider me as +1 for each of those requests.
(Maybe my biggest win with nvUltra is the ability to change the font size on the fly with ctrl-+ as is standard with many other tools. It's a small thing, but I needed this: between my eyesight and screen sharing with others I use it all time)
For reference, I think these are my latest advanced settings:
$ defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableFontName Hasklig
$ defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableFontSize 10
$ defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableRowSize 20
$ defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra STInfoBarFontName Hasklig
$ defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableSelectionIndicatorWidth 3.0
$ defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableTextPadding 3.0
