[BUG?] Image or PDF dragged onto File List doesn't appear in File List until notebook is reopened

When I drag an image file or PDF file onto the File List for a notebook, that file doesn't appear in the File List right away. I verified using the Finder that the file does get copied into that location. When I close and then reopen that notebook, the newly added file appears as expected on the File List.

This is reproducible for me.

nvUltra 1.0.0 build 70

macOS 10.15.7

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
