<File Limit Exceeded>
Pinned CompletedI'm running nvUltra Beta 1.0.0 (70), which it claims is currently the newest version available.
Now I'm seeing something I don't recall havingt seen in previous versions: " The free version of nvUltra has a limit to the number of notes that can be viewed in a folder. Consider upgrading to work with more documents."
What's up with this?

I just started my beta test and I wondered the same thing? Makes evaluating the app more difficult as one cannot use it like one would typically do in everyday usage.

In the preferences, you can enable the "Paid App" feature set to simulate buying a license. The free app feature set is still under development.

Pin this thread, maybe?

Just hit this too. Defaulting to the Paid App setting might make more sense?

Hi, I have just jumped in for testing but I constantly run into the limitations of the "free version". Very difficult to do meaningful testing. I have number a plain text notes and some in markdown. I can't even open a new folder or switch to new one. It is version 1.0.0 and it seems that it is not the beta but the pre-release free version. These limitations will make very difficult to decide wether I want to use together or instead of Obsidian.

Tibor, have you already tried setting the "feature set" to "Paid App" in the General tab in preferences, as described earlier in this thread?

Thanks, Matthias. Sorry, I should have read before asking :)

Tibor Pali -- as Matthias Ferber mentioned, you can enable the paid settings easily in the beta.
The limit on the number of notes is artificially low in the beta for testing purposes, though will be adjusting that as we get closer to launch. There will be a limit on the number of notes, but it will of course be larger than 8 (5 when searching)
That said, I am intrigued when you say that you can't open a new folder or switch to a new one. The unpaid app is limited to a single folder at a time, but you can use as many different folders as you like.
(And in fact, due to some errors on my part, the only method for opening a folder that was blocked was the Open menu item. This has been fixed for the next update.)
