Bug: Selecting Search String when clicking

When I click on the search bar, the text is not highlighted so I can't start immediately typing.

If the mouse is on a thin row of pixels inside the field but below the text it does work, but if the cursor is at all over the existing text it does not highlight.

  This isn't a bug, this is standard macOS behavior -- clicking in a search field makes it the first responder and places the insertion point where you click. It does not highlight the existing text (unless you double or triple click).  Using the tab key to navigate *does* select the text by default.

   

  That said, the next version will pre-select the text when you click in the search/create bar in order to make it the first responder.
