Feature request - table scaffolding

One thing I always find a real pain is writing the header row of a table - because the keys involved to type :--:--:--: etc. are more awkward to reach.

There's no Format > Convert Selection to > Table option available either (e.g. supposing you highlighted a couple of pipe separated rows of data).

I'd appreciate a menu option that builds the top of the table for me if I specify the number of columns I need.

  Another option is to create an expansion for common table types that you use, and you can simply type your preferred shortcut to have  it expanded to a "x-column" table, using `%|` for placeholders to jump to each column header using the tab key.
