Suggestion: URL handlers to append/prepend to a note

The biggest difference between Bear and nvUltra is that in nvUltra your notes are just plain text files that can be easily appended to by any shell script. I'm not sure I see immediately the utility of an additional url method for it. Where are you using these urls from that would make it handy?

Primarily Keyboard Maestro and Drafts. I can hack scripts, which only adds a bit of complication, but based on the forums for the former, I expect that's not always, or even mostly, the case. Re: the latter...I think the only option there would be AppleScript, but if that's what I have to stoop to, so be it :) And that might change in the new Drafts version in Beta right now.

I guess the other thing is, if I want to add to a note and then edit that note in NVUltra, is the best way to add the text via script and then open the note in NVUltra using the URL Handler or is there some other programmatic access? Perhaps that is the functional dividing line between things that get URL handlers and things that do not?

Yeah, that's one of the cases I thought might be worth considering. We're discussing internally to see how we would tackle this. No matter what it's going to require the URL to have a full path to a file, or a path to a notebook and a file contained in it, to work, so the URLs might be a bit... ugly.
