Inconsistent scroll view memory between editor and markdown preview panes
To reproduce:
- Create a markdown file with enough lines to allow scrolling
- Scroll down in the main editing pane (the right side markdown preview will scroll with it, which is correct)
- Select another file from the left hand side file list
- Now switch back to the original file
Result:
Now I see the main edit pane view showing the file from the top, but the right side markdown preview is still in the same position when I had previously viewed it. I would expect either both views to be reset to the top or both views to remember their last positions, but right now, they are inconsistent.

The preview isn't remembering where it was the previous time you viewed the first file, it is staying where it was when you viewed the second file, just with new content (obviously contingent on the second preview being longer than the first.)
When reloading a text file, the previously selected range of text is reselected, triggering a scroll if necessary to ensure that it the selected range is visible. (It doesn't technically scroll back to the same position.)
When loading, the preview has not been processed yet, so scrolling doesn't work at first. We can consider looking into adding more functionality here in the future.

Thanks for the additional context. I have verified that indeed the initial preview location is based on the location of the previous file's preview location.
FWIW, I would be perfectly satisfied with both the editor and preview windows starting at the very top of the file every time I switch to another file.
