    1.  Will consider, but there's technically no reason for alternating colors since this is a single column table -- there aren't multiple columns that need to be scanned horizontally where alternating colors provides a benefit.

    2. The splitview divider is a standard macOS thin styled divider.  The one used in nvAlt is the "old school" thicker divider that seems to have gone out of favor in macOS GUI design.  There are no plans to change this.

    1. Totally understand. I am just used to the alternating colors from using nvALT for so long. I think it makes it easier to scan the file list, but again that could just be because I'm simply used to it.

    2. Ah, another Apple thing.... here's hoping they go back to a thicker bar in the future then!

I understand that the thinner bar can make it more challenging for some users to see/grab the divider, but from an aesthetic perspective the older ones are horrible.  I think that ship has sailed.  Maybe they will come up with a "hybrid" solution though??

It could make sense for them to consider an accessibility preference that swaps out for thicker dividers across the computer.  It could cause some visual glitches in some situations, but that would just be part of the trade-off.

(As a side note -- I used a custom replacement for split views in MultiMarkdown Composer that also used a thinner divider, and I had to custom code the grabbing functionality.  It took me a while to get it mostly right, and it was more challenging to grab at times while I was adjusting it.  nvUltra uses the "stock" splitview, partly for this reason.)

    could you perhaps reconsider ?

    • for me the alternate color would greatly improve the readability when tweaked to narrow lines
