I wonder if it's worth mentioning on the Preference or the Help pages exactly when, besides after each word/sentence etc. according to undo coalescing, the current note will be saved.

My thought was, what happens if you're using the sentence or paragraph setting, are distracted and a few minutes later (or whenever) there's a crash, a power cut etc.

It seems unsaved notes are written to disk whenever you switch to another application, but if so it might be worth noting that somewhere.

  Whenever the app loses focus, or the text view loses focus, the file is also saved to disk.

   

  We can add this to the documentation.
