Preview Sync Stops when scrolling quickly

- with the mouse hovering on the editing window
- if is scroll quickly the preview window doesn't scroll
- however if i scroll a little slower the preview window catches up and scrolls at the same location.
- This doesn't happen when the mouse hovers over the preview window: no matter how fast I scroll, the editing window scrolls seemlessly.
in the preferences/preview I have both "synchronize preview location while typing" and "always synchronize scrolling" active.
I don't know if it's a bug. I'm new to all of this so thank you for bearing with me :)

It works fine for me (in either pane), as fast as I can scroll with magic trackpad (faster than I would ever scroll in real usage). Same wheter I default to always sync scroll or require a modifier key.
What sort of computer/CPU are you using?

I just checked: it happens with the magic mouse 2 but doesn't seem to happen with the magic trackpad

Interesting.... Not sure there is much I can do about that, but I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks for letting us know, and for testing with the trackpad. I don't have a magic mouse, but I do have an old USB mouse. I'll try to dig it up and test at some point.

Unfortunately, my USB mouse doesn't seem to be able to scroll fast enough to do anything unusual here.
