tighter line spacing in note list

really, really prefer the dense line spacing of nvALT over the new, LOTS of white space version of nvULTRA. Just my opinion, but maybe others have thoughts as well. screen grabs of each attached.

Me too. I also miss that the beginning of each note is visible in the note list (as seen above).

We are considering changes for the future to add additional information besides the title.

Just came to request this same thing and saw this request already exists. Definitely interested in a more compact view with options to display additional fields beyond title like body text and tags
This would be particularly useful for the vertical layout (which seems like a popular choice) since there's a ton of whitespace after the title in that case.

I'm glad those hidden preferences exist, and I hope they'll be exposed in the UI for release, but +1 for the general request for denser UI defaults (the current defaults, especially those for the notes list, are a little Fisher Price IMO. Changing them was literally the first thing I did when I opened the app.)
I'd also love to see a couple of lines of the note and last edited date in the notes list, as in nvALT. (With this in mind, I think it would be simpler if one of the preferences were "Number of lines of preview text" or similar so I don't have to do algebra to figure out how to show N lines of preview text given my font size.

I just started Beta, nice work, I came looking specifically to make a tighter list. +100 for making it a UI feature!

Here are the hidden settings I updated if of interest to others
- defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableRowSize 18
- defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableFontSize 12
- defaults write com.multimarkdown.nvUltra NVTableTextPadding 2
Agree with request to have an nvAlt style list with the first part of the note (in the title name field, not a seperate field) and a date column.

... one part ov the beauty of nvAlt's note list is the ability to display with
- alternate row colors
would be nice to have hidden setting for this too in nvUltra (feature request )

I’m glad this was asked and answered already, but I also think that at least some of these “hidden” customizations should be exposed. The information density of the file list is too low for me with the default settings. Also, the "date modified” column in nvALT was very useful display/sorting information.
