md-Tables-Cleanup not working

I use the Markdown Service Tools by Brett a lot, especially md-Tables-Cleanup.

It seems that most are working fine within nvUltra (I haven't tested all of them)

But the md-Tables-Cleanup does not work, not by shortcut nor by using the Services menu.

Not able to see if this is blocked by a preference setting in nvUltra, or if it conflicts with the autocompletion feature for tables in nvUltra?

  Are you certain the service works on the same text in another app? Nothing should be blocking any service.

  I will note, though, that table cleanup is a built in feature, just for reference. That would have no effect on the availability of the service, though.

  md-Tables-Cleanup works in BBEdit but not in nvUltra.

  And I don't get table cleanup in nvUltra with the built in feature, unless it is supposed to cleanup header and separator rows as one unit, and then cleanup the rest of the rows as another unit?

  I've got two movies to show these behaviours, where would you like me to send them? I don't think I can add files to posts in here...

  I'll do a little testing. If you do want to post a movie, the easiest thing to do is to put it on a service like Dropbox or Droplr and just share a link, but if you want to upload an attachment you have to open the discussion as a ticket/bug report. For whatever reason it's a different interface when you go that route.

  In the meantime I'll put both the service and the internal feature to the test and see if I catch any obvious misbehavior on my end.

  I'm guessing I know what the issue is, but if I'm wrong then show me some movies.

  The Service cleans up using spaces, which only align when using a fixed-with (monospace) font. The internal feature uses tabs, which have the same issue, but you can turn on elastic tab stops in Preferences->Editing under Smart Editing Features. With elastic tab stops on, the Format->Cleanup->Selected Table function works as expected.

  Would that explain what you're seeing?

  Yup, that was it! Sorry to have wasted your time on a settings issue, but I had my mind (too) fixed on the md-Tables-Cleanup service...

  This automatic table alignment in nvUltra is real timesaver.
