Option to display metadata title instead of filename?

It would be very useful to have the option to show the contents of a metadata Title field in the note list instead of the filename.
Use case: A lot of my notes are essentially log items — I file them away on the off chance I need them later (I usually don't). But there are a few I use all the time. In addition to pinning them, it would be nice if I could display a more user-friendly name than I normally use, without actually renaming the file (which would cause problems with how I use the files in other apps, and how I automate some workflows).

Will consider for the future, but I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. Because the notes list is tightly integrated with the file system, it would really make things overly complicated. In fact, the more I think about it, the more it doesn't make sense. For example, renaming a table row renames the underlying file. With your suggestion, it would sometimes rename the file, but sometimes would need to change metadata.
And then you have the problem of non-unique metadata titles.
Actually, the more I think about it, the more confident I am in saying that this just isn't a good fit with the nvUltra app rather than implying that we will possibly make this happen in the future... It would really involve rewriting the entire indexing/search system.
