weird typing behaviour
Completedhave you seen this before?
typing in this document the cursor stays in the same place and each letter you type replaces the previous letter.

this is a different version of a similar thing that was happening a couple of versions ago

i should have mentioned perhaps that the file/s behave normally in nvAlt

I'm not sure this is related, but we were having similar problems over here: https://multimarkdown.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360037398494-Typing-backwards

I’ve seen this, too, and couldn’t find where it came from. When I cut the paragraph, pasted it into BBEdit and back to nvUltra again, it worked. But there were no gremlins in the text. Weird …

That picture demonstrates what happens when you have errant tabs and use the elastic tabstops feature.
M.K.Ultra -- what version are you using for that video?

Okay, I will check tabs when it occurs next time. Thank you!

version is 45
what do you mean by 'errant' tabs — too many ... or?
anyway i've turned off elastic tabs now so :)

Tabs where you didn't remember they were there, so it makes you think something wrong is happening.

roger. will keep an eye on them!

M.K.Ultra -- are you still having the initial problem at the top of this report (e.g. typing over same character repeatedly)?
That occurred under certain circumstances that were fixed in a recent release, so if still happening in build 46 it's a different edge case??? If happens in same file, can you send it to me?

no problems so far but only just switched to 46. will keep you posted!
