No windows when nvUltra starts up
CompletedI only have one folder of text files that I use with nvUltra.
With the latest update, the navigator no longer shows up on application start asking me to re-pick that folder, but the folder itself doesn't open (and in fact, no window appears) unless I do something like Open Recent

Try deleting the folder from the navigator and then opening the folder again.

No change.
Investigating further, I think it's because my text files are in a Google Drive folder. Using a subdirectory of my home directory seemed to behave normally, but using Google Drive folder or /tmp led to the no-open-windows behavior.

What is the actual path to the directory you want to use, and what shows up in the navigator folder list?

It shows up the navigator as
/Volumes/GoogleDrive/My Drive/Files/Text
and that is the correct path.
(The navigator window also disappears as soon as I switch away from nvUltra—e.g., to type this message in my browser. When I switch back to nvUltra it stays gone again unless I use the Toggle Folder Navigator menu option. Is that supposed to happen?)

I don't use Google Drive, but when I fake it with a removable volume emulating the path you include above, all works fine.
Have you updated to latest version lately?

I just tried the newest update, and saw no change.
It doesn't seem to be a Google Drive issue specifically, now that I've experimented with bunch of folders. Anything inside my home directory works fine; anything outside fails to open any windows on startup (when there's only one directory in the navigator.)

Do you still have trouble opening the folder from the navigator manually? Or is it just that it won't automatically open?

It opens fine if I click on the folder in the navigator window. It's just that on application startup, neither the that folder nor the navigator window appears by default (if there's only one directory in the navigator).

Got it.
Found the issue. Fixed for next release. Thanks!
