Long load time on launch

When I open up my folder to start writing a note, there is a long lag time while the notes load. I see a progress bar at the top. Is there any way to avoid this? it takes a good 10-20s

  Just out of curiosity, how many documents do you have across how many folders, and what's the total file size of all the documents? (For reference, I keep everything in one folder, have 197 documents, and they're all relatively small, totally 1.4MB.)

  I have 2024 notes in a single folder. Load time is quite long. Size it 25 MB.

  The first time you index a folder of that size, it's going to take some time. Under Preferences>General, do you have "Cache indexs on disk" enabled? That should prevent it from requiring the full re-index on subsequent launches.
