[BUG] Apply Sentence/Title/Upper Case not working for non-Latin characters.

    Correct.  It's ASCII only.  Partly because I didn't have a good UTF-8 library when I wrote that code, and partly because the sentence case rules are based on English.

    These functions can be very useful. Of course one could use other add-ons such as WordService from https://www.devontechnologies.com which works fine with UTF8 and foreign letters. PopClip I just noticed also won't work with Swedish letters, guess I've used it mainly on English texts.

    Potentially -- but as I said, the code is based on applying title casing, which is highly language and localization dependent.  So it's never going to work properly for any language outside of English.  The upper and lower case functionality is just an afterthought to the title casing.

     

    For uses outside of English, you're better off using the built-in case support from macOS ->  Edit->Transformations (or the equivalent in your localization)

    I understand, not a bug then but more of a choice.

    Since there already are transformations readily available through macOS as well as other add-ons that support both English and other languages, non-language users should just ignore the menu functions available for transformations within nvUltra.
