nvUltra craps out

Without warning, nvUltra crapped out.  It wouldn't launch.

Fortunately, I installed it on a backup computer.  After copying the .app directory, it fails to open the folder in which I've stored all my notes.

Until now, nvUltra has worked well.  This is the first issue I've had since I installed the beta version several weeks ago.

  If you open Console.app, do you see any relevant messages come up when you try to launch the app?

  What macOS version are you on?

  The build 37 update just came out yesterday, was it the update that signaled the failure to launch, or were you able to launch it initially after the update?
