    One more thing: [[WikiLinks]] contained in ## Headers do not show up in the Preview Pane.

    They do, unless the wiki link is the last (or only) thing in the headline. This is because in MultiMarkdown you can use square brackets after a headline to create a custom anchor, e.g.

        ## My headline [alt-anchor]

    Reasonably, we could look at differentiating between single and double square brackets in headers, but that may be a change to MMD and Fletcher would have to weigh in on it.

    OK, this whole custom anchor thing may explain some of the behaviors that I see and struggle with regarding the inconsistent handling of WikiLinks between Editor and Preview Panes.

    So, if I understand correctly, I create an anchor and link to it like this:

    ``` # My Headline [my-anchor]
    [Some content]
    [my-anchor]
    ```

    In my testing this will create a link to the anchor in the headline that works only in the Preview Pane, but not in the Editor Pane.

    [[WikiLinks]], on the other hand, create links to other documents in the library. They currently work as expected in the Editor Pane but not in the Preview Pane, where they sometimes open to the linked document and sometimes duplicate it as an empty copy.

    Could the reason for that be that the Preview Pane cannot resolve sufficiently between text anchors and WikiLinks?

    I should maybe mention that I always have the Preview Pane visible and heavily use WikiLinking for navigation between files.

    Sorry for the delay.

    Yes -- `[my-anchor]` is an anchor, which is not active in the editor (it doesn't link to an addressable location, such as a web page, that can be opened in a browser or other application.

    Wikilinks are not rendered as links / are not functional in table cells in the preview pane
