Note List on top like nvALT?

Hi,
I cannot see any other mention or request for this.
Is there any reason not to have the option to have the notes list on top like in nvALT and Notational Velocity?
It makes it a lot easier for me to read the full note name when they get a bit longer.

nvAlt has both a vertical and horizontal layout. At this time we feel that it is better to have a consistent layout so we stuck with just one option, but can reconsider this again in the future.

+1 on this. The vertical layout in nvALT lets you see more text in the title, some of the content, plus a last-modified date.

Agreed with @JacobWeber, and that's another question/request: how to display modified/added dates to the file list as things are currently implemented?

Just here to say that this was the first thing I tried to alter after opening nvUltra for the first time today. This is one (more) thing that makes nvAlt stand out among the crowded note taking app space, and that I was hoping nvUltra would keep.
The file list on top isn't as pretty as the standard column layout, but I feel it is more efficient.

Would really like to be able to keep a fixed sized window on 1/3rd of my screen without needing to hide/show the note listing when searching. Hope this feature makes the cut for a future version :-) Thanks for making nvUltra.

We've added a vertical orientation option in the General Preferences for the next release.

Oh - that's so awesome. I'm loving nvUltra - so thrilled that you are building this. Perfect fit for me between a folder of plain text and the old-school nv that I loved. Thank you!

Thanks...I appreciate the work done to add this feature.
However, I'm not finding it very useful in its current form. If you compare it to nvAlt, the latter can show 8 titles in the space that nvUltra can show 3. Plus nvAlt shows snippets of text, as well as the last-modified date.

@Jacob - data density can be greatly improved by tweaking the Advanced Appearance Options near the bottom of this page: https://nvultra.com/help/advanced-features

We are considering whether to add additional information to the notes list, but that is a separate issue from vertical/horizontal layout.
As Williper correctly notes, you can modify the spacing and layout of the notes list as you desire with the advanced options.

Love having both options! It provides additional flexibility for some tasks that fit better in one-view vs another. Thanks for implementing!!
