Surprised to see PDFs in a folder
CompletedI'm using Mac OS X 10.14.4 and just started with the app. I didn't want to create a new folder, so I decided to open. folder full of text files. In that folder, I also have a bunch of PDFs. I was surprised to see these available to me in the app. In this folder, these PDFs are copies (Markdown renderings) of the *.md and *.txt files. Can I turn off the inclusion of non-text files in a folder?

You can exclude file types using the `Ignore files...` setting in the general prefs. This uses regexp for matching, though we are considering other options.

I was surprised but very happy to see PDFs, Numbers documents, etc. I try to use Markdown as much as possible, but for some things, especially a complex matrix, I'll use other types like spreadsheets. They'll be in the same folder, so it's great to search and easily see "oh right I moved that to a spreadsheet". And having great previews of other file types in the editor is even better. Sometimes seeing the preview may be all I need.

I agree, love being able to see the other files there as well! I was amazed to be able to preview OmniOutliner files in nvUltra and it was super helpful to be able to quickly search and review for a piece of information. Love it!
