Panes are unlabeled for VoiceOver users
CompletedI'm using Mac OS X 10.14.4 with VoiceOver. After opening a folder for the first time, I hear "table" as the only name for the list of files, then vertical splitter (as Mac defaults, that's fine), then an un-named area, then a vertical splitter (again but this one is called "collapsed on right."
Each pane should be labeled, and I don't know what "vertical splitter collapsed on right" means…I wonder if that's a default? Clicking on it doesn't do anything.

The body of the window consists of three panes -- notes list, editor, and QuickLook Preview (for non-text files). Either the editor or the QuickLook preview is collapsed depending on what sort of file you are working with. You can't manually toggle them.
We can name the panes though.
Thanks for pointing this out!

I've added voice over/accessibility labels to the main GUI components. This will actually be included in the "next next" update (31) since build 30 is already in the pipeline.
I am not an expert on VoiceOver, so please check this out and see if it works properly for you.
Thanks for the feedback!!
