Ignored files still visible

I see no documentation on the *Ignore files matching* field of nvUltra's Preferences, but I assumed that it uses a regexp to select files *not* to show.  At any rate, it does not do this, and *I would very much like* to hide certain types of files from listings or even searching.

Am I misunderstanding this preference?  If not, is this a bug?  Or should I turn this into a feature request?

  For now, you have to force a new index to be performed to exclude the files.  To test it, disable index caching, and then close and reopen the folder.

   

  This will be changed in a future release.
