Highlight all found strings

Using the find within a document, with ⌘f, is great, but it would be helpful if it showed the number of matches, or highlighted in some way, all the matches.
The find/replace bar looks like it was lifted directly out of MMDC, for good reason - it worked, but I don't recall the number of matches or match highlighting being an option there either.
Perhaps you're running the match in "real time" and not finding them all in the document before highlighting the first for performance reasons, don't know. I'd be willing to leave with a few hundred milliseconds of delay to see some sort of count/highlighting.
If you're inclined to implement, what type of highlighting am I thinking? I like Sublime Text's box around the found items, with color highlighting when I cycle to the match (just like is done currently).

The find bar is the default OS find bar. Will consider changes, but it will be lower on the priority list unless Apple changes it in future macOS updates.

I'd really appreciate this feature as well. It would make it easier to find the search term in large notes.

Ditto to Todd, Scott and Matt's comments. Having the search string already highlighted in text documents when using the search/create bar is something I miss from nvALT.

Like Joseph, I got used to relying on this in nvAlt. A way to enable an automatic in-note search would be great.
