images / pdfs etc workflow
AnsweredOne thing I miss from notes.app is the ability to easily stick in images, pdfs, etc that can be opened right from the note. What is your suggested way with NvUltra to associate files to notes, esp when accessing on multiple macs / ios?

nvUltra is built for plain text files, not RTF. So you can't paste images in the files, like you can in Notes.
The way to "insert" images would be to use Markdown images (e.g. `See `) They won't show up in the file, but would show up in the preview if you wanted to use that.
You can also use WikiLinks -- when enabled, clicking on the WikiLink in the text takes you to the image file if it is in the nvUltra folder.

Sorry I'm not concerned about inserting images etc - it's more about having some relationship to FILES of any sort - whether pdfs, video files, spreadsheets - whatever.

Right -- try the WikiLinks

I don't know if it's feasible with the editor, but in principle you could have something like `.textbundle` with images, which would show as a single note in nvUltra. Dropping an image to the note would automatically add the image to the folder system so that it isn't visible in nvUltra search bar, and append the proper link to the note. This way the note is still in plain text, but the attachments don't clutter the search view. I can think of at least Ulysses and Boostnote that have something like this.

Bundles in macOS are simply folders. So a TextBundle formatted file would appear as a folder in nvUltra, which allows you to work with contents of the document, including image assets, etc., just fine.
