Limit search?
CompletedIs there a way (aside from the folder navigator) to limit search results to a particular folder? If so, how do I do it?
Also, are tags the only metadata that the search bar recognizes?

You can include the folder name as part of your search (`folder_name AND baseball`)
Yes. Search matches on text contents and macOS tags. That is all. We do not have any plans for searching other metadata at this time.

Slight correction -- I assume you meant macOS metadata. All text content is indexed, whether it is in the MMD metadata section or not. But the only macOS metadata that is indexed is tags.

Including the folder name as part of my search doesn't seem to limit the search to items in that folder, though. It still displays items from outside of that folder.
Side question--is there documentation I can reference to learn how to improve my searching? Maybe I just need to tinker with it a bit more, but I sometimes end up with long lists of possible matches for my search terms.

No -- it is not exclusive, unless your folder name is unique compared to other documents. But it helps you focus.
If you really need to work in a specific subfolder, simply open that subfolder in nvUltra. There's even a context menu item for that in the notes list.
Documentation is still underway, but you can use "AND", "OR", "NOT. You can use "(...)" to group items
