Hide Search Bar

I would like to be able to hide the search bar when I am in full screen mode and focusing on one text file for a while.

  I would love for this to auto-hide (or add a menu option to hide it) when in Full screen mode as I use 80 char width, and typewriter mode to focus.
  
  I find it distracting coming from Multimarkdown.
  
  Pressing Command + L should animate it on, if it's hidden and that would make navigating to another file or folder easy.
