[FEATURE REQUEST] Open With ...
Hi guys.
Awesome that two of my favorite peepol are working together :)
Think you can add an "open with / edit in ..." option for those of us who work with text editors? I already use NVAlt, DEVONThink, and VSCode this way, and it makes my life so much better. Would love to see it in NVUltra as well
Thanks

Yes, this is really helpful. I often start out in nvAlt but once a note get large enough I usually like to edit it in Vim.
Now, there is functionality for opening with MultiMarkdown Composer, preview with Marked, and open with default application. I realize that you might regard this as enough and that it's in your interest to promote your own apps. But as I use Marked as my default application for markdown files the last option is just a duplicate of the preview option.

I'm considering allowing a default editor/previewer to be specified, the way that Marked handles it. They can default to MMDC and Marked, but can be modified by the user. We'll take this under consideration.

To add to this discussion, nvUltra's predecessor nvALT already allows a default editor to be specified, so I was confused upon first launching nvUltra as I could not find a similar setting:

More importantly, with the above setting in nvALT I can quickly tap โงโE to open a selected note in MacVim:

I really miss this in nvUltra. If there's an existing way to replicate this in nvUltra, would someone let me know how? If not, might I suggest that such a facility be added? Thank you for listening! ๐

I'm not sure when the option appeared, but I now see a menu item that seems to replicate the nvAlt functionality.
File > Edit File(s) > MacVim (cmd-shift-O)
I don't recall whether I set the external editing application to MacVim, and if so, how I did it. I don't see anything related to this menu item in nvUltra's preferences. Nor do I see a way to configure the hot-key combination that opens the external editor. But at least the basic functionality is there.
