Folder Navigation
CompletedI was in the middle of traveling when the release came out so just now getting some time to dig in.
I see that I can add folders, they get added as tabs. I'd like to hear a little more about the thought behind that. I guess I'm so used to a folder/tree view of all directories to the left of the files list it's a new model for me.
And cheers on the releases. Much excite.

I'm not sure I follow exactly what you mean about adding folders and adding as tabs? Can you explain further?

Sorry

When you open the app you are currently prompted to select a source directory. Once you open that folder, if you want to add another it's added as a tab. I used the Spark UI as an example of the pattern of folders on left, list of files for selected folder in next column, then single item. Often the folder view can be collapsed to just the items in the active directory.
So instead of folder view column, tabs are being used and I was wondering the thinking there. That's all.
I'd also be curious if goal is to remember previous state i.e. which tabs were open and what was the last open file being edited.
I believe TaskPaper also prompts on restart to select a folder so I know there's two schools of thought there. Thanks again for the chance to be an early tester.

nvUltra is only following your system preferences. If it is opening new documents (folders) as tabs, it's because that's what your system preferences are set to do.
System Preferences=>Dock=>Prefer tabs when opening documents=>??
Change your preferences as desired to control behavior.
Thanks for the clarification!

what an interesting preference I wasn't aware of and definitely would have never thought to look in the Dock prefs.
Thanks! I actually prefer the tabs vs multiple windows.

Yeah -- it is a strange place for it. Not sure why Apple put it there....
Oh well....
