"nvUltra would like to access data from other apps" warning message appears *every time* I start the app
CompletedEver since updating to OS 15, every time I load nvUltra, I get a warning that says "nvUltra would like to access data from other apps". I can click to allow and then nvUltra starts, but the next time I load it I have to do the same thing.

I know many reviews have complained that Apple has added too much annoying security in OS 15. Is this another example of that or something that shouldn't be happening?

I *think* it's because nvUltra and MultiMarkdown Composer share an App Group so that they can share themes, CSS styles, dictionaries, etc…. ????
I don't restart nvUltra very often, so I didn't notice it was doing it every time (I just upgraded to 15 once 15.0.1 was released). I'll have to dig in and see if there is some new permission I have to add to avoid this. I can't imagine this is intended behavior from Apple since nvUltra (and Composer) don't access anything besides their own user defaults and the shared App Group (all of which are “owned” by `com.multimarkdown`). And obviously they can only open files/folders that you give the app permission to open.
Thanks for pointing this out!

I have the same issue on 15.2 and 2024.11.22.22.00.
A fix would be appreciated :)

Similar issue, see this issue (sorry I obviously did not search good enough for similar issues).
Till my new install on a clean machine, this message did not popped up.

It's due to a change in macOS. Will work on a fix.

This seems to be an issue that appears when an app is distributed outside the App Store, but now when it comes from the App Store. Workarounds will require some fundamental changes to organization of the settings and files that are shared between multiple apps on multiple platforms (macOS and iOS).
Will have to keep thinking about the best option, but in the meantime just remember – this dialog only appears when you launch the app. Leave it running and you don't have to deal with it. ;)

This will require users to migrate preference files (e.g. CSS, Themes, etc.) from the old location to the new location, but once done, this will go away.
A dialog will appear in a future update showing you what to do.
Thanks.
