Open straight into a notebook, stay open
So I just started using the beta so I might be just missing the setting, but if not I have a couple ideas…
So by default when you open it you get the “Navigator” page, and then select the note collection you want to use. This gets annoying though when you use a shortcut to open the app to take a quick note and have to take the extra step. Having a default notebook, or just opening the last one you were using, would be nice.
Another thing is that when you click off the window it hides itself, which is frustrating when you're trying to enter in information from the note. While I can see auto-hiding being useful for some people, I would like to be able to have it open while I'm mucking about with entering info.
Love all the new stuff though, lots of quality of life additions and options.

Thanks for the comments!
1. If you want macOS applications to re-open documents when you quit and re-launch an app, change your System Preferences → General - “Close windows when quitting an app”. Alternatively, just leave nvUltra running and your open notebooks are right there waiting for you whenever you want them.
2. Which relates to the menu bar options for nvUltra. By turning off the dock icon, nvUltra functions as an “instantly available when you need it/gone when you don't” utility. If you want the app to always be visible, enable the dock icon in the General nvUltra preferences (the menu bar icon is then optional).
