continuing problem with downloading the latest Composer version
Thank you so much, Fletcher, for your comprehensive answer.
I find it more appropriate to continue under this topic.
The link
https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.multimarkdown.com/composer5/MMDComposer5-2023-04-04.zip
continues to fail downloading in various browsers under quite tolerant settings.
Is there a problem with VPN protection?
Is amazonaws.com the only download intermediary you use, or do you have also an account with, say, FastSpring or similar?
I would be happy to pay more for the main versions of MMD Composer and nvUltra, as I find them very useful for my needs, but I'd prefer not to pay through AppStore, as I still do not know, how tight its noose will get.
Thank you for your time,
Adrian

The betas are stored on Amazon S3. I'm not aware of any issues downloading, and I've never had any trouble whatsoever.
Have you tried downloading with your VPN turned off?

No, Fletcher, I have not tried to turn off my VPN protection. I thought only firewalls might be a problem when downloading from the internet.
Taking into account where I am, I cannot afford to disconnect the VPN service I use.Is it any way in which I could download directly from your Amazon S3 account the latest version of Composer 5, by using https://cyberduck.io/ or https://mountainduck.io/ ?
Is it possible to allow me (and others among your users) ftp-read-only access to your Amazon S3 account?
Many thanks,
Adrian0
