nvUltra 1.00 (72) Strange behaviour, text disappears

I'm new to this app, so there may be a degree of 'operator trouble' -- but when I input text, after a few words the whole text pane disappears.
I have to double-click on the note name to get it back.
Sometimes it happens on return. But I can't reproduce the behaviour reliably. It's random.
I'm using Catalina 10.15.7, 2012 PowerBook, very standard set up

I have also seen this and reported it. I saw it several times yesterday, but I still can't figure out exactly what triggers it and how to reproduce it.

If it happens again, can you send a copy of the file in question right after you "recover" it? I've never seen this happen.

I have seen this on more than one file. Clicking away to a different file, and back, recovers the text. It seems to occur randomly (i.e., I cannot discern a reproducible set of actions to trigger it.)

This finally happened to me. When it happened, I had just created a new file, so the text that I had entered into the search bar was the entire filepath/name -- so there were no other notes in the table. After it happened a couple of times in short order, I cleared the search bar, and kept working. Then it didn't seem to happen any more.
Michael Young, steve -- can you confirm that if this starts happening to you, that clearing the search bar makes the problem go away?

Yes, it does seem related to search bar. I do not understand why search bar gained focus during editing, but fat fingers may be involved in some way...

This should be resolved in an upcoming version.
