Take my money already
I'm ready to purchase nvUltra and MMD5. Yeah, I said it.
The native Mac app game needs these products, or else we may end up having to "knowledge graph" and backlink our way across infinite canvasses through macOS 22.
You can charge me a little bit of dough up front and then I can swing you something on the backend once the version ones are released. I know it's probably been a tumultuous time for you guys since development started...but for what it's worth, you both have put together software that I am enjoying and I am ready to pay up!
I will even personally handle your PR in an unapologetic defense of your work once it's released publicly.

Brett and I are trying to put the finishing touches on the app, in particular the piece that lets us charge for it..... ;)
We are equally looking forward to getting v 1.0 out the door, and then looking to see how we can continue to improve it after that.
And as for MultiMarkdown Composer v5, it should follow very closely behind nvUltra 1.0, as the "missing pieces" are largely shared between the two.
As soon as we have more news to share on this front, we will!

I've decided that the most scientifically valid explanation for the challenges to my schedule lately is that I am cursed…. ;)
Long stories short, most of the time that I have had scheduled free from child care and day job responsibilities has been consumed by illness. (Nothing serious, just enough to make you want to sleep all day….) Basically my son started preschool and seems to have decided to try and collect every virus in the local area. And since he is a kind, generous boy, he decided to share them with me….
This is compounded by one or two nagging bugs in nvUltra that have been harder to track down than I anticipated (issues with the “jumping” notes list or failure to update the notes list being the primary one.)
When I can get that fixed, I am hopeful that a 1.0 release will follow quickly….

I'm sorry to read that you have been so unwell…your son as well. With a personal long illness fresh in my mind from the spring/early summer, I sympathize with you both.
I hope that time opens up for you before too long, and the cause of the bugs reveal themselves.
I appreciate your update on the current status of nvUltra.
