PDF attachments for notes

Hi All,

 

maybe I was mistaken but my impression was that I could drag a pdf (research paper) onto a note which I used to write a summery / comments. I was expecting a preview thumbnail and a clickable link. (or at least a clickable link to that file). However, I somehow cannot seem to get that to work. Was I wrong or am I missing the proper workflow to implement this?

  Remember that notes in nvUltra are plain text - they cannot contain images.

  Dragging a PDF to a note creates a Markdown image link (``).  PDF's don't work well as images in HTML.

  Dragging a PDF to the notes table will import a copy of the PDF to your folder.  If the PDF is in your notes folder, you can use a wiki link (`{{foo.pdf}}`) to the file, which allows you to click on it to navigate to the PDF.
