What is Transclude in MMD Composer?

I’m trying to work out whether Transclude is what I’m looking for. From other posts I get the impression that an expression like `{{something.md}}` includes the referenced document in the current one.

For me, that doesn’t work: I just get the expression. If I try the __Transclude to New Document__ item, I just get a copy of the content in a new untitled document.

Is this how it works, or does it mean something else?

  Yes -- transclusion pulls in other files, assuming you have the correct file/path name, and have granted access to Composer when requested.  Be sure to enable the preview to see whether things are working correctly.
