Pressing Delete while the notes list has focus causes the current search to be cleared

MacOS: 13.0.1

Enter a search value in the search field.

Then click on an entry in the notes list.  Press Delete (Not Cmd-Delete) and the focus now moves to the search field and the search is cleared.

I'm not sure if this is working as designed, but I feel that it is not intuitive behavior.  I would expect the focus to remain in the notes list even if the Delete key has no effect.  I should have to press Cmd-L  or Escape first to move the focus to the Search field.

  This is the intended behavior.  If you wish to delete a file, you can use Cmd-Delete while the focus is in the table.

   

  The search/create bar and the notes list are designed to behave almost like a single UI component.  You can do most things without needing to change the focus between the two. (Which is different than the editor component, obviously).
